Hello, my name is Destiny and I am the founder of Forward Frontline. I am 23 years old, I reside in Central Alberta and am currently studying to get my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I have been a Licensed Practical Nurse for the past 4.5 years and have witnessed such an increased need for mental health resources for our frontline workers. I'm not just speaking about healthcare workers in this blog post, the crisis goes for teachers, firefighters, police officers, and all other first responders as well.
Mental Health Advocacy
Through this blog, I hope to advocate for increased mental health resources for our frontline workers. The crisis that our entire system faces has sparked an immense passion in me to want to help the burnout crisis and move forward together. While there are some resources already available, they are not always accessible or affordable. I stand with the people who take care of people, and wish to see change in our system. With this blog, I also aim to help end the stigma surrounding mental health related problems. <3

"Mental illness... occurs when our mental health is compromised or neglected for so long that it affects our ability to function in our everyday life." - Kati Morton, 2018
I'd like to just say welcome, and thank you for following this journey. Please feel free to follow along in the coming days, months and years to see what's happening!
Cheers,
Destiny

This is excellent! There is not enough resources for front line workers to help cope with everyday demands of their jobs.
